<metadataxml><content><line>&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Burke&amp;#39;s Landed Gentry:&lt;br&gt;Robert Sloden of Ronald and Hempsted, Kent, England, Juror at Lyminge 1489.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Consistory Court of Canterbury, Kent, Register of Wills (preserved at the County Archives Office, Maidstone, Kent), Volume 12 (1515-1520), Folio 98:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Robert Sloden of the Pryshe of Lyminge by his will dated the 4th day of April 1516 directed that his bodye be buryed in the Churche yarde of Saynt Edburreugh of Lyminge.&lt;br&gt;To the high Auter there for tythes forgotten a wedder sheppe.&lt;br&gt;To every of my Godchyldren 4d.&lt;br&gt;To the worke of the steple of the Churche at Lymmynge 13s 4d.&lt;br&gt;To the bieing of 2 new torchys to the Church 13 s 4d.&lt;br&gt;After providing priests to syng masse of require for 30 yeres 10s a yer&lt;br&gt;I bequeath to Margarett my wiffe 20 sheppe a cople of oxen, a mare, 4 kene and 4 budds.&lt;br&gt;To Richard and Robt my sonnys to every of 10 sheppe.&lt;br&gt;To Thomas my sone 6 sheppe.&lt;br&gt;To Thomas Sloden the sone of Thomas my sone a lambe and to every of his daughters that is to say Alice and Agnes a lambe.&lt;br&gt;I bequeath to Robt my Sone a twelve monethyng budd.&lt;br&gt;To the aforesaid Richard and Thomas a calf.&lt;br&gt;To every of my aforesaid Children, Thomas, Richard and Robert a cowe.&lt;br&gt;To the galletyng of the walles of the north side of the said Churche 6s 8d.&lt;br&gt;The residue of all my goods I give to Margarett my wiffe wch wt. Thomas my sone and Thomas Ovyngton I make myne executors.&lt;br&gt;Wytnes Sir Richard Allen&lt;br&gt;John Nott, and&lt;br&gt;Henry Baker wt. others moe&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Second Part:&lt;br&gt;I will that Margarett my wiffe have my place called Roadd wt. all the lands thereto tyll Robert my sone come to 24 yeres. And when he comyth to the sayd age Margarett my wiffe have Roadd and butt 10 acres of land.&lt;br&gt;Also that Thomas have my place at Hempsted wt. all the lands thereto for ever paying to Richard his brother wt. in 7 yeres L 5.&lt;br&gt;I will yf the said Robert dye or he come to 24 yeres that Richard my sone have my place called Roadd.&lt;br&gt;I will that after the death of the said Margarett that the said place and land remayne to Robt my sone for ever.&lt;br&gt;I will that Richard my sone shal have my myll at Barham.&lt;br&gt;I will that eve of my Sonnes Robt.
