Mrs. Staley was born April 26, 1915 in Wilkes County to Vance and Maude Roten Miller. She was a member of Vision Baptist Church in Millers Creek. Mrs. Staley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elisha Staley; one sister; and four brothers.</span></p></line><line><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Surviving are four sons, Elisha Paul Staley and wife Elizabeth of Winston Salem, James Thomas Staley and wife Terry, William Billy &ldquo;Bill&rdquo; Staley and wife Michelle, and John Mark Staley and wife Melanie all of Millers Creek; four daughters, Ray Dell Staley Greene of Deep Gap, Mary Sue &ldquo;Susie&rdquo; Staley Blevins of West Jefferson, Peggy Diane Staley Church and husband Charles of Millers Creek, Virginia Dare &ldquo;Jinny&rdquo; Staley Shulenberger and husband Terry of Woodleaf; twelve grandchildren, David Staley, Van Staley, Freddie Blevins, Jeff Staley, Shawn Staley, Matt Bare, Sherri Davis, Marie Lavender, Melissa Neaves, Denise Gentry, Michelle McKenzie, and Caitlin Staley; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and three sisters, Florence Taylor, Raye Faw, and Reba Absher.</span></p></line><line><p><span style="font-size: medium;">A funeral service was Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Miller Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Plato Shepherd and the Rev. Homer Greene officiating. Burial followed in Staley Family Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Ashe, PO Box 421, Jefferson, NC 28694.</span></p></line><line><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Miller Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
