OBJE:_META | <metadataxml><content><line><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;" align="JUSTIFY"><span style="color: #1f497d;"><span style="font-size: 8pt;">Transcription of the original; Arthur Featherstone </span></span><span style="color: #9bbb59;"><span style="font-size: 8pt;">[Son of Arthur &amp; Deborah Featherstone nee Judd]</span></span><span style="color: #1f497d;"><span style="font-size: 8pt;">stands charged by one Sarah Hartnup late of this Parish of Brenchley above named single woman and now lately deceased to be the Putative father of a Male Bastard Child lately born of her body which is chargeable to the Inhabitants of the Said Parish of Brenchley. The condition of this Obligation above written is that the above Arthur Featherstone and John Featherstone or either of them or any of their Heirs, Executors, shall pay or cause to be paid from the twenty seventh of August last past, to the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Brenchley, one shilling a week to be paid monthly and towards the maintenance and Bringing Up of the Said Bastard Child so long as shall or maybe chargeable to the aforesaid Inhabitants or until the Said Bastard Child is or shall be able to provide for himself or shall die. </span></span></p></line><line><p>&nbsp;</p></line><line><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;" align="JUSTIFY"><span style="color: #1f497d;"><span style="font-size: 8pt;">Arthur Featherstone of Brenchley Kent and John Featherstone of Capel Kent are held and firmly Bound to the Churchwardens of the Parish of Brenchley Kent and to the Overseers of the Poor of the Same Parish in the sum of one hundred pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain, for the true and faithful payment whereof we bind ourselves or our and every of our Heirs, Executors firmly by these Present sealed with our seals.
