OBJE:_META | <metadataxml><content><line><p>Dillion Tribune, Dated 21 Martch 2001</p></line><line><p>Rose Lyon Webster (with picture)</p></line><line><p>Rose Lyon Webster passed away March 15 in Dillon.&nbsp; She was born on March 9, 1923, the youngest of a large family, at the family home in Spencer, Idaho, to Carrie Ellen (Pettitt) and Thomas Wylie.&nbsp; She moved to Dillon right after graduating from Spencer High School, and there she worked at the bakery and lived with her sisters, Frances and Margaret.</p></line><line><p>She met George Webster at a dance at the old Glen Dance Hall, and they were married June 7, 1941.&nbsp; George worked for the James V. Dunn mining operation, first at French Creek and later at Bannack.&nbsp; Rose was the mine cook.</p></line><line><p>They then moved to the Old Stage Station on Rattlesnake was the first post office building in the area.&nbsp; It was there that their son Tom was born.</p></line><line><p>The family then moved to the Smith Ranch and operated there until the late 1960's.&nbsp; A daughter, Denise, was born during that time.&nbsp; George and Rose moved to Silver Star and then returned to Beaverhead County in the early 1970's.</p></line><line><p>Rose is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sue; three grandsons, David, Dan and Roy Webster; a granddaughter and her husband, Danyella and Chuck Wood and their two children, Tyrel James and Riley Denise; brother-in-law, Hiram (Bud) Lapham, and several nieces and nephews.</p></line><line><p>Preceding her in death were her husband, daughter, and brothers, Clinton, Joe, and Fred; and sisters Bessie, Lla, Frances and Margaret; and half-brother and half-sisters, Garfield, Mamie and Deliha.</p></line><line><p>Cremation has taken place and graveside servicfes will be held at a later date.&nbsp; Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.</p></line><line><p>&nbsp;</p></line></content></metadataxml> |
