<metadataxml>
<line>
This is a basic overview of how the family of Charles and Rebecca Isaac Walker of Prince George's County, Maryland were identified in DNA Group 20
</line><line>
</line><line>
Charles Walker b. 1670 leaves a will naming his sons Charles (b. 1698) and Jospeh (b. 1715)
</line><line>
Charles Walker b. 1698 does not leave a will. Joseph Walker b. 1715 leaves a will.
</line><line>
Charles Walker b. 1698 leaves property to sons Nathaniel Walker and Zachariah Walker in Frederick County,MD. Nathaniel's and his son's (Renelder) line is identified by Dr. June Welsh. Zachariah's line is noted in The Jeff Ross Papers now archived in the Tennessee State Archives.
</line><line>
Charles Walker's (b. 1730) descendants through Daley Walker (b. 1760) are recorded in the Walkers of House Mountain by Thomas Hollingsworth Walker.
</line><line>
The Charles Walker b. 1698 line is developed by Sondra Olney, Fran Christianson, Jill Bennett, Beverly Bender, Louise Kohl and others.
</line><line>
DNA tests for Renelder's line and Daley's line were conducted proving the written research of all these people was correct for Charles's line. Descendants for testing were identified by Sheila Best and Jerry Lynn Dagenhart. Later Zachariah's line was tested further validating previous research.
</line><line>
Joseph Walker b. 1715 named a son, Zadock in the will and Zadock's line was reearched.
</line><line>
DNA testing for Zadock's line was conducted by individuals proving that the written lineage was correct.
</line><line>
</line><line>

</line><line>
To sum it up, over the years researchers constructed the line of Charles Walker b. 1670 through a will naming his sons Charles Walker b. 1698 and Joseph Walker b. 1715. Charles's b. 1698 lineage was developed using deeds, tax lists, censuses, and deeds without the aid of a will left by him. Joseph Walker b. 1715 left a will and his descendants were more easily identified. The earliest ancestry lineages were developed by Dr. Luther Welsh, Sondra Olney, Fran Christenson, Joan Wright, Beverly Bender, Louise Kohl, and Jill Bennett, as far as I know. When DNA testing became available in the 2000s the descendants were tested and various branches of the family were definitively identified.
</line>
</metadataxml>
