Her oldest son got hurt when he was 11 years then he was confined to a bed. Then her daughter Carol Jean died giving birth i was just a couple months old she had given my mom her baby clothes. My Gran had it hard but she raised her kids the nest she knew how to buy herself. And all her kids are well resected. She always had a meal on the table and a roof over their head and clothes on their back. She done a real good job. I lived with her for about 2-4 years her grankids was everything to her she never got mad at us and she never spanked us. I remember me and my cuz or my stepsister would go across the road to pick blackberries so she could make us some blackberrie jelly. She would send us up to Whites market to get sure jel to make the jelly and it was so good. She was just the BEST GRAN YOU COULD EVER HAVE. When she died it about killed me she was like a second mom to me.
