Many descendants mentioning Old Ned Sizemore in the 2,200+ Eastern Cherokee Applications refer to him as a fullblooded Cherokee Indian. Probably the same as the Old Ned Sizemore who was hanged by Col. Ben Cleveland on the Tory Oak in Wilkesboro, N.C. The Sizemore family was said to be an Indian family, probably Saponi or Mattaponi, who served in a regiment of the Royal South Carolina troops during the Revolution.</span></line></content></metadataxml> |
