Whiting Poliski, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 24, 2017, at Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village.</p></line><line><p>She was born February 15, 1931, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Carl Stuart Whiting and Delilah Higginson Whiting. She grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.</p></line><line><p>On August 21, 1953, she married Chancey Joseph Poliski in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Bernice and Chancey made their home in Idaho Falls where Bernice was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She also worked as a Telecommunications Supervisor at Idaho National Laboratory.</p></line><line><p>She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, waterskiing, dogs, and when she was younger, fishing and hunting with her husband. She also loved her family and playing with her grandchildren.</p></line><line><p>Bernice is survived by son, Michael C. (Janet) Poliski of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Nick (Lisa) Poliski of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Carleen (Kurt) Bare of Terreton, ID; stepdaughter, Debbi (Ric) Jackson of CO; brother, Richard (Juanita) Whiting of Shelley, ID; brother, Robert Whiting of Shelley, ID; brother, Marvin (Lorna) Whiting of Highland, UT; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.</p></line><line><p>She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a grandson, Mark Poliski.</p></line><line><p>Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 10 a.m.</p></line><line><p>&nbsp;</p></line><line><p>&nbsp;</p></line></content></metadataxml>
