<metadataxml><content><line>&lt;p&gt;Daniel, Cass County, 25 June 1855, swore he was 51 and was teamster for wagonmaster Elliot in Captain Hook&amp;#39;s Company in the regiment of Illinois volunterrs commanded by lt. Col. Boyakin in Mexican War. He was employed at Fourt Leavenworth by the quartermasters about 16 Jun 1847 to transport supplies and was discharged after 20 days at Leavenworth because of illness on 6 July 1847. The affidavit was for bounty land. Elmundonarus Staley and James F. Hackler of Cass County witnessed signiture and stated they were with him in service. Endorsement in 1856 say he served 16 days according to the Army records.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;from Jun Welch notes.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</line></content></metadataxml>
