<metadataxml><content><line>&lt;p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: times new roman; font-size: medium;"&gt;1704-Abraham Little, a hunter and fur trader had a &amp;ldquo;Meat House&amp;rdquo; on Leatherwood Creek.&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;This was an early landmark and is for him that Little River in Virginia is named. &lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;It was during July 1753 a road was marked out from William Bean&amp;rsquo;s on Dan River to the Courthouse in Lunenburg County.&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Among those working on the road were: Redmond Fallen/Fallin and son; John Stone; William Bean (who married Lydia Russell, daughter of &amp;ldquo;Old Man&amp;rdquo; Russell, the Long Hunter); David Lane; Isaac Little and son; Abraham Little and Charlie Little.&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;All the above took place near the North Carolina/Virginia border.&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;The Littles have been living among and marrying into my family for 300 years.&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;I believe all the Littles listed above are ancestors to the Little family of Wolfe County.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</line><line>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: medium;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: times new roman;"&gt;Research by Harley E.
